WHAT IS EMBRACE?
Embrace is a unique worship experience for the entire family. The service is offered at 6:00pm every Sunday evening in the fellowship hall of FUMC. The evening begins with a sit-down dinner, where we engage in food and fellowship, followed by a casual worship hour of music, Bible-based message presented by our Pastor, with one Sunday per month for Laity to present, all followed by small group discussion.
MISSION OF EMBRACE
The mission of the Embrace worship service is to gain more souls for Christ and to provide a safe, loving, accepting worship environment for ALL people. We especially hope to reach individuals who are uncomfortable in traditional church settings and those who are new to the Christian faith or are questioning the Christian faith.
The Embrace family is proud to be a “no judgment zone,” and we hold our service on Sunday evenings as an alternative to the traditional worship services offered on Sunday mornings. We keep our worship service simple on purpose. Our focus is on loving Christ, loving our fellow human beings, growing our spiritual lives and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by putting our faith into action.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Come as you are, bring the whole family, and join us! All are welcome! There is no need to wear your “Sunday best” to our worship service – we are casual and informal. We also offer childcare.
Below is the typical flow of our Sunday evening worship service:
- 6:00pm – Fellowship over dinner
- 6:45pm – Live worship music & prayer time
- 7:00pm – Bible-based message presented by the pastor of FUMC (Laity once a month) (children are welcome to head to the nursery at this point)
- 7:30pm – Small group discussion
- 8:00pm – Dismissal
